Our Story
Yeats Irish Whiskey was born from a love of literature. We drew direct inspiration from Yeats’s works to shape the whiskey’s identity and story. In fact, this first edition is named after one of Yeats’s most cherished poems – “The Lake Isle of Innisfree.” The whiskey aspires to capture the poem’s essence of peace and natural beauty. “I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made…”– these iconic lines appear on our packaging and set the tone for the experience.
William Butler Yeats (1865–1939) was a Nobel Prize–winning Irish poet and playwright. A towering figure in literature, he won the 1923 Nobel Prize for works that “in highly artistic form give expression to the spirit of a whole nation”. He co-founded Dublin’s Abbey Theatre and was a driving force in the Irish literary revival, making him a symbol of Ireland’s cultural identity.
